
An uncompleted Church building at Akwadum a mission station. There are about ten of such uncompleted buildings. The Parishioners mould the cement blocks with wooden forms as a community project.
Fr. Charles, a native of Ghana, was invited to Hattiesburg, Mississippi through a friend Tony Taylor to fill in for Fr. Tommy while on vacation. While Fr. Charles was here, we learned of the needs of his 28 parish missions, 16 parish schools, and medical clinic with a maternity ward. In Ghana, the Catholic Church is the second largest provider of medical care and education to the general population. This Mississippi to Ghana Mission is to help our brothers and sisters in Ghana.
